Plate Tectonics.

Plate Tectonics is the process of movement in Earth that happens in oceanic and continental crust. Plate Tectonics caused by the subduction zone that is when the oceanic crust goes underneath the continental crust because oceanic is more dense that continental crust.

1st evidence to prove the tectonic plates: Continental Drift; 225 million years ago all the continents on Earth were together that is called Pangea, but by the time the continents started to separate because of the movement of tectonic plates. Present day all the countries have their own tectonic plates. Also, in this time we still have plates that are moving and getting separated.

2nd evidence to prove the tectonic plates: Plate boundary; when the tectonic plates move, it creates different kind of plate boundary. 1. Convergent Boundary when two plates come toward each other that creates different kind of mountains. 2. Divergent Boundary when two plates move in different direction that creates Rift Valley and Mid Ocean Ridge. 3. Transform Boundary when two plates move side by side that creates Earthquake on continental crust and Tsunami on oceanic crust.

  

  

 

3rd evidence to prove the tectonic plates: Convection Current; Outer core is really hot that makes the mantle go up and when it reaches up to the crust it goes back down again because of the cold in crust. Also, mantle drag along tectonic plates on Earth. This process of repeating again and again that called convection current. When convection current happen it makes the plates move little by little that we can't really feel it.

I agree with the theory of plate tectonics because all of these evidence show me  that this theory is true and there is more of the evidence that happen in reality like Earthquake, Tsunami show me this theory is true. To find these theories scientist did a lot of work even when it was really difficult.

Reflection:

1. What did you enjoy most about this project and why?   
      - The most thing I enjoyed about this project is to make different experiments and different kind of layers (Foldable, BrainPop), because it was really interesting to know and make.

2. What was most challenging for you during this project and why?

    - The most challenging part was writing paragraphs and getting good, clear and right answers. Also, memorizing the layers to get tested from Ms. Kara.

3. What new skills you learn from this project and why?

    - I learned how to write a good summary from videos, brainpop or activity.

4. Is there anything you could have done to improve any of your work? Explain.

    - I would change some of my layer to another. For ex: I would change my foldable to video, except doing a fordable, I would do video.

5. What would you change about this project? 

    - I would do things that I never did before like music video, and I would make my layers more creative.

Lunar Revolution- When the moon moves around the Earth.

Lunar Revolution length (how long?)- The moon takes 29.5 days to revolve around the Earth.

Phases of the moon- When the moon's shape changes.

Total Solar Eclipse- When moon covers the whole sun.

Partial Solar Eclipse- When moon doesn't cover whole sun the little part in sun stays open.
  -Частичное солнечное затмение

Umbra- Dark part of the shadow when sun lights to Earth.
               -тень

Penumbra- Light part of the shadow when sun lights to Earth.

Lunar Revolution.

     My topic is Lunar Revolution. Lunar revolution is when moon revolves around the Earth. It takes 29.5 day to revolve whole Earth. Every time the moon revolves around the Earth the Moon Phases change. When the moon moves around the middle of Earth and Sun, this called Solar Eclipse. When the moon moves and stop in middle of Earth and Sun, a Total Solar Eclipse happens and it happens in Umbra, the dark part of shadow. When moon stops between the Sun and Earth the Partial Solar Eclipse happens, when the half of the Sun blocks from the moon and half stays open, it happens in Penumbra, light part of shadow. Moon revolution happens always, never stops. 

     Because of the revolution, Earth seasons change depending where the Earth standing near or far from the Sun, also depending on getting direct or indirect of sunlight. Also Day and Night happen in Earth while Earth revolves around the Earth depending if it looks at sun or not. 

1. What did you enjoy about this project and why?
        - The most thing I enjoy is to learn more about the Earth and Moon, also I enjoy making video, because it was really fun and I felt that everything in video was happening near me that made it awesome. 
2. What was most challenging for you during this project and why?
        - The challenging part was to make the things for the video and decide the ideas about how to do it, and the orders for the video, because it was difficult works and you have to think a lot about it, so it was challenging.
3. What new skills did you learn from doing this project?
        - I learn how to make a good video, and learned new vocabulary, also new things about the Earth, Sun, Moon, Day and Night, and Seasons. 
4. Is there anything that you could have done to improve any of your work? Explain.
        - I would make a rap to improve our video, so the video would be more fun and more interesting, also i would make it more clear to understand, so everybody could learn more and understand  everything.

2. I like to eat a lot different kind of foods especially Sushi.

3. Snakes and big dogs scares me.

4. Chicken Temp Roll Sushi is my favorite food.

5. I will be an Artist when I grow up.

8. My favorite thing to do is draw and play volleyball.
